He achieved BSc in Building Construction at Leeds University. His career commenced at Millers and he experienced responsibility for large scale construction projects. He joined his father, Tony Horncastle, to develop the family construction and manufacturing group.
As Chief Executive, he took the group companies to a turnover of £50 million with commensurate profits. The Group has achieved profits in every year since incorporation in 1964. Andrew successfully disposed of the Group’s manufacturing businesses in 2002 to concentrate on the development of prospective industrial, commercial and residential sites.

William Anthony Horncastle OBE
Non Executive Director
Began his career as a bricklayer and from humble beginnings founded this business as a jobbing builder which led firstly in to speculative housing development, becoming one of the regions biggest housebuilders. He then grew the business through the 60s, 70s and 80s and as Group Chairman expanded in to manufacturing and light engineering. A passionate Yorkshireman committed to the prosperity of the region, William has, in addition to his business activities, devoted considerable time and effort over many years to the community and both local and international charity work.
A family man with a real zest for living, who likes to spend his leisure time out on the golf course.
